What is Time Travel Vienna?

Time Travel Vienna is a world of experience at an original historical location in the heart of Vienna, where visitors can discover the history of the city in an exciting and entertaining way. With moving 5D cinemas, animatronic figures, multimedia shows and historical backdrops, the tour takes you through over 2,000 years of Viennese history – from the Romans to the imperial era and the present day. The 60-minute adventure tour is suitable for all age groups and combines knowledge, humor and state-of-the-art technology to create an unforgettable experience

Do I have to book tickets in advance?

Online booking is recommended as places per tour are limited. Spontaneous visits are possible, but not always guaranteed.

In which languages is the tour available?

The tour is guided in German as standard. Audio guides are available in several languages: English, Spanish, Italian, French, Hungarian, Polish, Czech, Russian, Japanese and Chinese.

How long does the entire tour take?

Timetravel lasts around 60 minutes. With the combined ticket for Timetravel and Sisi’s Amazing Journey, the experience lasts 90 minutes. The tour is guided and starts every 20 minutes.

Is Time Travel Vienna suitable for children?

Yes, children love the show. Children aged 0-4 can visit the exhibition free of charge and share a seat in the 5D movie theater with the accompanying person. If there is room in the tour, the child is welcome to sit in their own seat.

How do I get to Time Travel and Sisi’s Amazing Journey?

Public: Stephansplatz subway station

By car: the best place to park is in the Freyung parking garage, address Freyung 4, 1010 Vienna. We can provide you with parking cards for discounted parking.

Both attractions are located opposite each other in Habsburgergasse near Graben.

Sisi’s Amazing Journey is located directly opposite Time Travel, at Habsburgergasse 3.

Are there any discounts?

Yes – there are discounts for children, schoolchildren, students, senior citizens, families and groups. You can find the current prices in the online ticket store. Further discounts on advantage cards can be redeemed directly on site. Information on this can be found directly on the discount partner websites.

Is the tour also guided in bad weather?

Yes – Time Travel Vienna is an indoor attraction and takes place in all weathers.

Are there parking spaces nearby?

If you are traveling by car, the best place to park is in the WIPARK parking garage Freyung 4, 1010 Vienna – link.

There is a drop-off and pick-up point for buses in front of the Natural History Museum at Burgring 5, 1010 Vienna. Access to Timetravel is via Heldenplatz. For longer parking, we recommend the APCOA Museum bus parking lot in Bellariastraße, 1010 Vienna

Can I Time Travel Vienna visit with a pet?

Animals are not permitted at Time Travel.

Is the attraction barrier-free?

We would like to offer all guests a pleasant visit to our show. However, due to structural restrictions and the protection of historical monuments, Time Travel is not completely barrier-free. Therefore, please contact us in writing in good time so that we can best meet your needs.

Am I allowed to take photos or film during the tour?

For safety and copyright reasons, photography and filming is not permitted during the show(exception: photo point Wiener Malerei!). Photos are possible in the entrance area and after the tour.

Can I visit Time Travel Vienna with a group?

Yes, groups are welcome. There are special conditions for school classes, company or tour groups. The Timetravel+ Sisi’s Amazing Journey combined ticket also allows larger groups of 50-100 participants to start almost simultaneously. Advance booking is requested.

Is the tour suitable for people with heart problems or pregnancy?

Most of the stations are harmless. However, some effects (moving seats, light and sound effects) can be more intense. Static seats are available on request.

Are there lockers or a checkroom?

Yes, there are lockers and a checkroom. Small bags are allowed. Larger items of luggage cannot be carried for security reasons.

What happens if I am late?

As the tour is guided, late entry cannot be guaranteed. We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before the start.

What sights can I see after a tour at Time Travel Vienna see?

Hofburg Palace (Sisi Museum and Imperial Apartments), Spanish Riding School, Treasury, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, National Library and Albertina are approx. 5-10 minutes’ walk away. Time Travel Vienna away.
